Organizer Terms

1. General provisions

These Organizer Terms supplement the Terms of Service of the Quizzy service (quizzyplace.pl) and apply to every Organizer — an entity or person that publishes and runs Quizzes through the Service. The Service is provided by Anton Merkulau, contact: support@quizzyplace.pl. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the Polish version prevails.

2. Organizer access

Organizer functionality is granted by the Provider on request. The Organizer must provide accurate information about themselves (name, description, contact details).
The Organizer is responsible for the actions of persons using the Organizer's account.

3. Quiz listings and running events

The Organizer is solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information in their Quiz listings: date, time, venue, price, number of places, description and images.
The Organizer is solely responsible for actually holding the Quiz, for its course and quality, and for compliance with laws applicable to the event.
Cancellations, rescheduling and any refunds of entry fees are handled by the Organizer, who must inform registered Teams about such changes without undue delay. The Provider does not collect or process any payments.
The Organizer may refuse or cancel a Team's registration only for legitimate reasons (e.g. capacity, breach of the Organizer's rules) and should communicate the reason to the Team.

4. Registration data and data protection

Through the Service, the Organizer receives the data of Teams registered for the Organizer's Quizzes (team name, number of players, contact name and handle, comment). With respect to this data the Organizer is an independent controller within the meaning of the GDPR and undertakes to:

process the data solely for the purpose of preparing and running the given Quiz;
not use the data for marketing or any other purposes without a separate legal basis of their own (e.g. the participant's consent obtained by the Organizer);
not disclose the data to third parties except as required to run the event or by law;
delete the data when it is no longer needed for the event and related obligations, or upon a justified request of the person concerned;
inform the Provider at support@quizzyplace.pl without undue delay about any personal-data breach concerning data obtained through the Service;
fulfil their own information duties under Articles 13–14 GDPR towards participants.

The Service additionally lets the Organizer record that a Team which booked a place did not arrive and gave no prior notice, and shows the Organizer how many such records a Team has when it registers with them again. This record is personal data of which the Organizer is the controller, and the Organizer undertakes to:

record only an actual absence without notice, and never a withdrawal made before the Quiz;
treat it as information supporting their own decision about a booking, and not as a ground for refusing participation to a person on any protected characteristic;
withdraw a record that turns out to be mistaken, including upon a justified request;
not publish it or pass it to other organizers.

5. Results

The Organizer uploads Quiz results accurately and completely; results affect public Team ratings.
An erroneous result may be corrected within 7 days of uploading; afterwards results are frozen and can only be changed via the Provider.

6. Licence to published content

By publishing descriptions and images in the Service, the Organizer grants the Provider a free, non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce and display them within the Service (including thumbnails and presentation of the listing) and declares that they hold the necessary rights to the published content.

7. Moderation and termination

The Provider may hide or remove listings and content that violate the law or the Terms, and in serious or repeated cases suspend or revoke Organizer access; the Organizer is informed of the decision and its reasons and may object via support@quizzyplace.pl.
The Organizer may resign from Organizer access at any time by contacting the Provider; obligations concerning data already received (Section 4) survive the termination.

8. Availability and liability

The Service is made available to the Organizer free of charge, in the form and to the extent of the functionality available at a given time. The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular number of registrations or a particular reach for a listing, and may change or withdraw individual functionality, informing the Organizer in advance as far as possible.
Towards an Organizer who is not a consumer, the Provider's liability is limited to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and does not cover lost profits. This limitation does not apply to an Organizer covered by consumer protection provisions by operation of law.
The Organizer bears sole responsibility for their Quizzes and the content they publish, and shall release the Provider from third-party claims (including those of participants and rightholders) arising from the Organizer's breach of these Terms — in particular from failing to hold an announced Quiz, from unlawful content, or from a breach of the data protection obligations under Section 4.
The Provider does not guarantee that the Organizer's data and content will be retained beyond what is needed to provide the Service; the Organizer should keep their own copies of results and listings.

These Organizer Terms have been effective since 23 July 2026; the amendment introducing section 8 takes effect on 18 August 2026.
